Security automation
Cloud exposure checks, access-policy remediation tooling, endpoint inventory reporting, and Linux agent deployment.
The system at a glance.
A conceptual view of the flow and its boundaries.
The challenge.
Security findings span cloud accounts, queue policies, endpoint agents, and asset inventories. Repetitive review and reporting make consistent operational follow-through difficult.
My contribution.
Worked across Python/Bash operational automation, endpoint inventory integration, and Ansible-based configuration management.
Implementation.
- Review IAM findings and identify exposed SQS policies using SDK-driven operational scripts.
- Provide policy-update tooling, resource decommissioning helpers, and repository migration automation.
- Consolidate CrowdStrike, Uptycs, cloud asset, and network-zone information into security reporting datasets.
- Use Ansible roles/playbooks to deploy endpoint agents and configure Linux audit rules across OS families.
Design decisions.
Batch inventory reconciliation supports cross-system reporting but reflects snapshot freshness rather than real-time protection status.
Operator-facing tools need explicit input review and verification because configuration actions can affect live resources.
Validation.
Operator review and manual validation support reporting and configuration changes. Inventory reporting and remediation are distinct activities.
The outcome.
Made cloud and endpoint security operations more repeatable through programmatic review, reporting, and configuration tools.
