API test automation cloud

Self-service API test execution with concurrent workspaces, environment selection and execution history.

Earlier professional workApplication engineeringAT&T tenure · May 2014–December 2017

The system at a glance.

A conceptual view of the flow and its boundaries.

The challenge.

Test teams needed to run selected suites across environments and releases without repeatedly assembling execution workspaces.

My contribution.

Worked as a subject-matter expert across design, Java development, UI implementation and delivery coordination.

Implementation.

  • Used Java multithreading to execute tests concurrently across dynamically created workspaces.
  • Developed the browser interface and data-access components for self-service execution.
  • Supported test execution history, result reporting, failure handling and vendor integration.

Design decisions.

Concurrent execution needs workspace isolation and a clear cleanup lifecycle.

Environment and version selection must remain explicit to make results interpretable.

Validation.

Unit testing, coding reviews, UAT support and production implementation checks accompanied delivery.

The outcome.

Enabled a self-service workflow for repeatable API test execution and result inspection.

Explore the pattern.

The companion repository is an independent educational demonstration built with synthetic examples. It illustrates related engineering patterns and does not contain employer source code or production data. Repositories are currently private; please contact me for access.
